Student Council

 

The Student Council serves as the voice of the student bodypromoting school spirit, enhancing student life, and fostering effective communication between students and the administration.

Debate Team

 

The Humphries Debate Team is committed to fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork among students. We aim to empower young voices to express their ideas confidently and respectfully, while encouraging an appreciation for diverse perspectives and constructive discourse.

Sophisticated Sisters

 

The Sophisticated Sisters are ladies who embody sisterhood, service, empowerment, and scholarship! We perform our latest steps and have several community service and fundraising events throughout the school year. 

 

Peer Leaders

The Peer Leaders group is made up of 4th and 5th-grade students who represent the respectful, responsible, and reflective traits of a Humphries roadrunner. These students help brainstorm and implement new ideas to improve the school climate for students while practicing and growing their own leadership skills.

Girls on the Run

Mission Statement: A fun, evidence-based programs that inspire girls to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others as they practice and prepare to run a 5K race at the end of the season.

Gardening-Cooking Club

The Garden/Cooking Club shows students how to be self-sufficient with growing and cooking healthy foods. This year, we used peppers and tomatoes from the garden to make several dishes that the students prepared and enjoyed. Parents, it's amazing how students will eat their veggies if they grow and cook with them

Humphries News Network

The Humphries News Network is designed for students in grades 3–5. Through this program, students practice communicating effectively, utilizing technology, and collaborating strategically. Our student reporters share current school news, highlight important updates, and inform the Humphries community about upcoming events.

This experience helps students build real-world skills while taking pride in keeping our school connected and informed.

School Safety Patrol

The Safety Patrols of Humphries Elementary proudly help maintain safety and order at our school. They monitor the halls, escort special guests, and serve as positive role models for their peers. Our patrollers wear their belts and badges with pride as they demonstrate leadership and service to the Humphries community.

Boys in Bowties is an academic and social development program designed to instill etiquette, professionalism, and confident public speaking skills. The program helps young scholars understand societal expectations while shaping their personalities, characters, and leadership as they grow from primary school into adolescence and beyond.
